This is my mum's forest flame, I want to take a cutting from it but I was wondering how long will the cutting will last before I plant it . Do I have to plant it straight away or will it be ok for a couple of hours before I get home? Thank you in advance, only just took up gardening and haven't got a clue haha

Your best chance is to place in a sealable polythene bag to keep in the moisture and then to pot up. Or better still can you pot it up at your mums and then take it home?

Will it last a few hours in a sellable bag? Would be easier to do that tbh .. I have never took cuttings before our grew them so I'm a total beginner haha.. Thank you so much for your help x

@Colettetommo Hi Collette. Put a wet paper towel in with the plastic bag. That'll help to keep it moist. Good luck!
