Amazing isn't it ! I haven't had a semp flower yet ...so exciting 😆

Chucking it down in Leicestershire all day so haven't gone out yet.

Well I'm out even at 11.50pm it hadn't flowered. Lol

@cazz47 was right it had2 flowers on yesterday but didn't get a moment to take a picture. Will go out and take one today after my coffee x

@Muzz67 is that a flower? Super excited now. This was only thursday/Friday I took them 6 babies off it and there was no length in it then. 😯

Yes a flower but unfortunately they die after flowering apparrently 😐

Yeah Helen @Muzz67 is right but if you have a lot in a group of the same plant that's flowering, then once the flowering plant dies off just cut it away from the group and they'll just fill in the gap as they grow @confusedpossum 😁

Phew. I was going to take all the babies off at the weekend before I lost them. I'll leave them to fill in the gap once the flowers have gone and I've cut the stem. @cazz47 @Muzz67

The babies or others nearby will soon fill any gaps Helen 😁 semps grow really quickly compared to say echeveria! @confusedpossum

Took the plunge. As long as 1 survives to replace mummy if I've killed her I'll be happy.

Ok Caroline @cazz47 I've done it. In the pot to dry out. But I'm gonna be tagging you and jacqui @Muzz67 every step of the way as I'm now terrified I've taken too many off the original. Do i leave the stalls on? Or take them off for drying out. Ohhh 😱😱 sorry guys.

Ahh good old sempervivium 😁😍you don't need to let these callous over hun just pop them straight into free draining soil and as long as the soil drains well they don't mind being rained on...trust me mine have had so much rain then hot sun to baking point then rain again and they love it!! @confusedpossum

Hi @confusedpossum Helen. I feel your pain. But the #pellets need to be around the plant, not on it. You'll have them munching your plant to get to the pellets! 😂

It is around it @Patiorose as well. I wasn't entirely sure how the pellets worked. But finding out this afternoon that they are attracted to the pellets. I've tried to remove as many as i can from the houseleek. I'm only using them to help get everything back on plan after leaving them whilst on holiday and the person in charge did not water them so slowly bringing them back and showing the slugs I'm back. But thank you. Xx

Good plan @confusedpossum Helen. The best way to get dust and anything else off succulents is with an artists paintbrush....at least thats what I use 😊 a make-up powder brush for #pollination on my apricot tree too! I hardly ever wear make-up, and the artwork also seems to have stopped....could be cause I can't find a brush! 😂😂

😂😂 oh dear. That's made me giggle this morning. I took the plunge and took 6 babies off it last night. I don't know if I'm regretting that decision yet or not. It looks like someone's took a big chunk out it. 😔

All will be well. 😊Last week I took the plunge with a tree aeonium that had all its foliage at the top so kept falling over. A friend told me to cut all the top growth off and stick it in a new pot, and the old stem should regrow new shoots! Eek! That took some courage @confusedpossum Helen. But I've done it!

Do you think they're baby shoots around the edge @tmwignall i thought it was the design of the succulent. Lol @cazz47 do you know what sort of houseless at all? No more succulents after these 2 thought I'd added these already. Lol

Yes they are babies or chicks around the side .not sure which variety it is though 😊@confusedpossum

Definitely chicks round the edge but problem with semps is they change colour quite quickly at a very rough guess ...and it is only a guess I'd say 'firebird' or Red Rubin maybe 🤔 @confusedpossum

Nothing like setting you all a nice puzzle. 😁 Keeps me entertained while in hospital and can't be in the garden. 😔

Definately sempervivum with many offsets Hard to id exact one but this is lovely.Hope you get better quickly 😆
