I am trying to #overwinter-hibiscus and so far so good👍😘 my question is, should I cut back these buds that aren't opening or just leave it be? 🤔

I would #leaveitbe, but I'm a #rulebreaker that way! 😁

I would cut them off so the nutrients will go back into the soil.

No new blooms. It just is not performing well since the cold weather when I got it. Saw lots more of these at Lowe’s and no one seems to be buying them. Some of those flowers are black around the edges. Guess that is why. 😟🤷‍♀️

Thanks Thelma. I got a hibiscus last fall and overwintered it indoors. It did well and bloomed in the Spring. It is a hardy hibiscus with woody stems. The new small one seems different. The foliage is ok so hope it does well. 💗

Thanks and you are very welcome also. Mine seem to be flowering for one day only. A new one opens each day. When I bought them it was very cold and they were all in a cold open area. The tips of the flower petals are slightly black due to the cold I think. 🤷‍♀️ Still pretty though 👍💕
