Mine were doing well then we had a heavy storm today and I lost a few blooms. We have had a good summer with them. 💜🤍💜

@crabby58 If you deadhead this guy I’m sure you can encourage more blooms before the season is up. Trim off all the dry stems and flower heads. To keep flowers going trim flowers off as they die. This will tell the plant to produce more buds. Same works for Roses.

So very pretty Thelma. Too bad they are finished. If you cut them back they may grow again. Mine are looking leggy and dry too. I have more flowers than you but soon I may cut them back. I am sure mine flowered till September last year. I could be wrong though. 🤷‍♀️

I may be wrong about this. May have been thinking of pansies as they come back as the weather cools. I did have some that kept growing till September. I still have lots in my pots that are doing well. My starry night ones are still growing but thinning out a lot. Try cutting them back. It can’t hurt. 🤞🤞🤞

It has been so hot and humid here these past few days. I have breathing issues so I cannot stand it outside too long. We are getting pop up showers and it has not cooled down at all. Try to keep cool also. 👍😁

These are my absolute favorite variant of petunia! I'd love to have some again. Fun fact: Petunias are actually carnivorous! The sticky hairs on their leaves are used to catch small insects. Because of this, they make great companion plants to some others that may be more susceptible to pests!
