Crushed been looking forward to making plum jam, yesterday they were fine but this morning when they were perfectly ripe there were 3 left delicious for breakfast but so tiny that 3 would make 1/2 then jam grrr
That's the problem when judging when to harvest: the birds and possums tend to get in first... Surprised they're all gone though if the tree had been full of fruit. Or is it a young tree?
It is an old tree that looks there been topped and is just starting to come back but we have thousands of hungry sparrows and parrots around here. I was expecting them to leave about half too but they got them all. About 2kgs worth. Hoping I get to the green gages first in a few weeks.
