I just put a pic on my profile of that same flower. I had that ornamental grass there for years and I noticed what I guess is a flower I had no idea what it was called. I'm in sthrn Texas zone 10 lol
@terrimclaughlin - these were starters from the plant center. They are called Liriope, & the flower on this one is called "Super Blue". I don't know anything more technical than that to tell you. That's what the PC told me. I know they're very hardy. I'm in zone 9ish in FL. They make good border plants or separate ornamentals. Hope this helps:-)
@cschulz02. Appreciate the name mine just flowered this year. I didn't know they flowered!!! It's been there for about 4 yrs. it was a very nice surprise Thxs again for the information. Have a great day in that beautiful tropical state. Was just there in Tamarac just outside Ft. Lauderdale got some cuttings from a croton they made it but my cuttings from a really cool red ginger plant didn't later found out the ginger plants has rhizomes wish I would of known than.
@Terri McLaughlin - Sorry about the ginger, but that IS how we live & learn after all. Next time you'll have it down pat. Hope you had a wonderful time in Tamarac. You are most welcome for the info. And don't think I'm the last word. Ask around & see if they come in different colors, or if all varieties eventually bloom. I don't know those things. Have a good day & I can hardly wait to see what you do with all that enthusiasm! 👀👏
