Keeping this #Ube plant warm and dry this winter is going to be the pain of my existence this winter. I had no idea that it takes 3 months to germinate. I planted this last June and it’s now September. The color is pretty though. #purple. Wish me luck #purple-ube #rootcrop #dioscorea-alata

Planting Ube or Greater yam. Many people get it confused with Taro roots or Japanese purple yam. In the store if you ask if they sell Ube they will give you purple sweet potato. I hate to tell you but most stores don’t sell the authentic #ube #tubers #rootcrop #dioscorea-alata
