Help me identify this plant. It seems to be of the spider plant family but has curly leafage? #PlantID

Just a little hint, when you reply to someone you need to put @ in front of their username then they will see it in their feed eg @pelly 👍

Thanks for the tag @flof1952! This appears to be a variety of bird's nest fern to me. Sometimes referred to as a tongue fern, crispy fern or undulating fern. Definitely is not a spider plant. Can you tell me more about it? How old, when did you aquire it, has it changed in health since having it? I bumped the wrong identification - that's easy to change, once we know for sure what it is. 🌿

Hi @KariSamuel thanks for taking a look. I got the plant a few months ago and at that time it was more plentiful in its leafage. Since then a lot of its leaves died off, having turned a yellowish hue I removed them. What remains has thrived quite well. I expect though, it may not survive for a prolonged time.

I had one, for maybe 4 months! Mine did the same thing, yellowed then died. It doesn't tolerate drafts or dry air. Keep us updated on its progress! 🤞

@KariSamuel @daddymc84 maybe it's getting too much direct light on the windowsill? Mine is in a northfacing bathroom and seems happy (although it doesn't really do much, it might give me some new leaves in early summer)

Also agree with @KariSamuel it doesn't like warm air - is there a radiator under the ledge it's on? If so, you could try moving to a slightly cooler spot out of direct sun 😊 if it's like mine it's probably fairly dormant at the mo so mightn't react immediately!!

@Mikekally thanks for posting a comment. It is tricky with this one for me! It was in a shaded spot for a while, a brighter spot for a while and a warmer spot for a while...its slow decline continued regardless 🙈...I have taken on bits and pieces of your comments and @KariSamuel comments and think I have picked somewhere that ticks most of the boxes for him ^_^

@daddymc84 that's great, keep us posted on progress! Mine just chucks out a new frond every now and then, to let me know its still happy 😂
