Wasnt sure how this would do after scalping it in march, so heres the result. Im going to do it every year from now on .
Is Frank hiding behind the pampas grass in the second picture 😁
@charlotte 😂😂😂 he could well be Charlotte.
Wow 💚💚
@craigcfc47 this is mine craig. Cut back in march, and late summer.
That’s great thanks Dave I’ll cut the flower heads off tomorrow then cut the whole thing back in early autumn!
Do you want to keep it craig. If you do i leave it until spring . You get the flowers autumn winter. You can easily split them once youve cut it back. Just dig it up and cut it into 4 .

#grasses quite worrying that this is only 2 years old, from a small plant.
They do get big and they are invasive Dave 😱😱
@pelly, don't worry Jane, I've got a chainsaw 😀
😂😂
@kez001uk Oops, is this what you have? It might need a bigger pot soon 😉😂😂
@ublaszko I think I need a new garden, not just pot 🤣 I didn’t realise they got so big! Looks incredible @davewrightjoinerygooglemail.co
If you click on the plant name kerry, youll see the size of it when i planted it @kez001uk
Oops! 😅😅😅 @kez001uk
@davewrightjoinerygooglemail.co oh no, that was the size of mine originally and it’s almost a year old now. Keeping it in a pot will restrict it quite a bit but I’d love to have it the size of yours!! It looks amazing 😍
@ublaszko ooops indeed 🙈
The ones I've seen here are taller than the houses 😅😅 @kez001uk
@ublaszko that would be amazing! Screen off my horrid neighbours 🤣

There's a bit of stigma going with these apparently, which is a real shame because there a great addition to any garden.
Is there really?? Well I think they look beautiful and I'm hoping to get some in my garden! :)

This is certainly living up to its name .
Oh that's lovely!
@faerie a quick grower to stefani it's only about 15 months old 😊
That's definitely a must have for my garden 😊 I'll add it to my design notes 😁😍

Taking it's time .
Nice pic👌
You know what they say about people that plant pampas grass in their garden?! 🙈🙉🙊
@tash74 well go on then Natasha don't keep us in suspense 😊
I couldn't possibly say, but if you ask Mr Google I'm sure he'll tell you!
@tash74 😲 it's not working here. But you can live in hope 😂😂.

This is mine @leno at 15 months old .
Is it in the ground or a pot? Wow! Looks amazing!😍😍😍
@Leno it's in the ground Leno. Didn't think it would grow as quickly as that.
@davewrightjoinerygooglemail.co well I've just had my front garden (building site for 6 years) dug out, levelled and covered in stones so I have a whole empty garden to fill next year. I might transfer it into a bigger pot just now. Fingers crossed it survives the winter.😨
@leno there pretty hardy , but then your in Scotland 🤤
😂 I just hope they learn to adapt!😊 I'll keep you posted

Love grasses now. Never bothered about them before. They are so fluffy. 🐻
Lovely🤗
I love how you've placed them in that triangle looks lovely 😊
@harebell thanks della, we're really pleased with the front garden this year.
That's good it means your getting it right,we've had our garden for 23 years most of the time it was a children's playground ,but during the last few years I've slowly claimed it for myself but the times I've changed things lol 😂 but I think I'm happy with it..... for now
