@halfy21 zebra grass looks nice in winter helen, although you cut it right down in spring, it adds good winter interest.

Grass coming back great. One of my favorite grasses last year.

Is this in full sun Dave I'm sure this is one I have but only stays green 💚😕

I had it in sun last year keely, its in dappled shade this year, in my buddha garden, going a nice red though. My other one is slightly better. @keely

Looks superb mines stayed all green unless I was sold a wrong variety, still like it though as grass it quite vibrant 💚💚💚

@keely I took the advice off Sam @icedance when potting it up , and it's doing well.

I remember the mix mine isn't in full sun which I think helps change the colour too its really filled out since you split it too 👌💚

Bit of a dilemma today. Do I buy a nice pot for my new grass, or get two cheaper ones and get another plant. So now I've got two.🤗

I planted one in the ground which I cut back & is growing back. I bought a new one recently but I'm thinking of putting it in a pot too 😊

@icedance , hi Sam, bit of #advice I'm thinking of putting this imperata in a pot , and was wondering what compost to put it in. Is multi purpose ok or would you put it in a mix with John Innes ? Thanks Sam.

Hi David they do like to keep relatively moist so if I was doing it I would go for one of the moisture retaining multi purpose - two thirds to one third John innes 3 I normally do the other way round but too muck j I would be too heavy for grass roots 🙂🙂 maybe a bit of grit too to aid drainage as they want damp not boggy 👍
