There's 6 flowers on my clematis this morning and about another 6 buds ready to open!! Sorry - it's just numbers I know but this clematis has had a difficult life so I'm excited and counting!!
I have clematis that keep on keeping on too! I cut my prolific flowerers back down to a foot or so above the ground a couple of months ago, and didn't expect anything to happen until next year but they've gone the extra mile for me and I have a solitary flower on one and several on another. The other 5 have growth but are a little less forgiving! Your bloom is a stunner!
Lovely photo. Have a 'nelly moser' in my garden, plenty buds but no flowers yet.
👏🏻😊
One of my favourite plants
Gorgeous 👍
🤗🤗🤗 so worth the effort
Makes it all the better then @David 🌸👏👍

Still don't know what variety this clematis is but I'm going to figure it out this season!! Very happy to see it waking up again this year though. Looks like Wilt is finally behind us!!
It is lovely to see them come to life. I have one or two that I'm not sure what they are!
That's good news David
Hi @David which season/month dose your clematis flower?
Hi James looking at the photos from last year it says mid summer when it was in full bloom. Does that help? @GREENFINGERSLTD
Yes it will help identify which one, by knowing when it blooms it singles out a selection of varieties that flower at that time @David one last question what's the colour?
@GREENFINGERSLTD if you slide the image above to the left it will show you images I took of it in bloom last year.
@David thanks taken screen shot will let you know next week unfortunately I'm in hospital been here since Saturday with a prolapse disc I'll be fixed on this Friday.
Ah sorry to hear that James that's awful. Hope they can sort it and you are back on your feet soon. At least you can catch up on GT while you are resting 😉
@GREENFINGERSLTD forgot to mention you!
Oh yes I've been on every day GTs been so busy till now. @David
Yes @GREENFINGERSLTD you can tell Spring is around the corner!! 🌷☀️

Finally after 5 years of clematis wilt killing this right back to the root before it grew more than 2 feet, it has finally decided to make it onto the wires I put up to train it! What causes clematis wilt and why has it suddenly stopped??! Can't wait for a second bloom so I can identify it 🌸
It is cause by a fungus called Phoma clematidina probably. If you see any leaves starting to gp brownish cut the stem back to a healthy non marked part of the stem. You should also clean or disinfect secateurs after as the spores from the fungi to stop the spores going anywhere else @david
Thanks @kathy that is great advice!! Fingera crossed it doesn't happen again his year :-( x
This clematis is looking amazing this year. It still refuses to climb along the wall wires even after 5 years 😖🤣 but does looks lovely bunched up in that corner!
That’s gorgeous 💗🤍💗
It’s beautiful David 🌸🌸🌸
Thank you @pelly @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom 😊
Looks fabulous doing its own thing!
Nelly moser is a gorgeous clematis David!💘😍
I have just had a new Pergola built by my friend. I will definitely be buying a Nelly Moser Clematis and hoping to grow a Wisteria as well for my Pergola.
