PlantID #fridayfoliage I inherited this 4 years ago and it has put a spurt on this year….. the red is more vivid and I don’t remember it flowering at all! Low lying around 18 inches tall and a couple of feet wide. Any ideas?

I think it may be Thunberg's barberry and /or Japanese barberry
