East Kent Goldings hops almost ready to harvest…. Once dried they are bagged, frozen and will help make several real ale brews🍺

Davidward
I had it originally in a large pot at our last home four years ago….. it may have been superseded by self seeding though. Very rewarding to use it in making some lovely beer and recommend you giving it a go Laura🤪

Challenger hop survived our move..... used for brewing Suffolk Gold ale.

@Davidward does it make you feel sleepy 😑 💤 when the hops are on?

Davidward
@pixierose I do tend to get a bit sleepy after tasting the hops in a pint or two of my ale!

Self seeded hops I grow for my home brew ale. Challenger and Kent Goldings potted two years ago and ready to go.

Well done!

Davidward
@joanboston thank you Joan
Hop plants going well so looks like it might be another good crop for my real ale production
I'm on my way 🏃♀️
I hope you’ve got a long ladder 🪜 🤣
That’s amazing…..
@juliesgarden ahhh….. if you look closely, string carrying the hops goes through a screw eye and returns under the eaves, so the whole plant can be lowered to the ground.😃
@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom thanks Elaine 👍
Great idea , else you’d be like Jack in the Beanstalk 🤣🤣
