I have 2 black olive 🫒 trees, one is dying. Any suggestions?

Hello Rachel….. I’m no specialist but I know that they like to be in a sunny, sheltered and well drained location. Good luck🤞

Young olive tree now four years old has put on a little but if a spurt this year….. so slow growing it’s not surprising that mature plants are so expensive!

The olive tree has enjoyed this year and has produced lots of new growth..... for a non-native plant, i think it blends well with the Suffolk landscape.

@kimmy01 it’s about 8 years old..... it’s only been in its new home a year and has really taken off. I haven’t covered it but it’s not been too exposed.

@angiecrazycatlady indeed it has been a brilliant summer and autumn for olives..... more next year please!

My have even ripened this year, so I foolishly popped one in my mouth 🤮

@lisa868 Thanks for the warning Lisa.... I hear that they need to be kept in oil or brine to mature and soften! Will report back if successful
