Weigela 'Kosteriana Variegata'

I grew this plant with a cutting taken from the late mother-in-law’s garden about four years ago. It’s been slow growing but now it has more light after I cleared lots of branches and ivy along the fence with our neighbours. 🌱 #cutting

Weigela in its third year since taken as a cutting from the mother-in-laws garden. On of my favourite shrubs🤩

Mine hasn’t grown at all, mind you it is swamped with other plants 🙄

I love this shrub also. Mine has just started blooming. Yours is lovely 👍🤍💕💗

Ooh that's nice David! I've got two Weigelas one from last year. It looks good and healthy (like me!) But I hope it flowers this year. Is that how it happens with them?😊

@midnightgardener I cut at 45 degrees and dipped into an old pot of hormone powder, then slipped it in a couple of inches down the side of the pot of general compost. But what do I know?

@columbiariver thank you Laura.... I must say that it is much more satisfying than going to the gc and I wasn’t expecting it to flower in its first year.
