Here in Northern Ireland this plant is know locally as Joseph’s coat. After the biblical story of Joseph and his coat of many colours!

Indeed David although I call it soldiers and sailors coz of the red and blue. I’m in N Ireland too-east Belfast. Where are you?

@anges. I doubt it as the areas that I grow it in are damp and in part sun. My soil would be clay. Wet in winter although can get very dry in summer and the plants suffer. Theyrecover after a wet spell.
