Lost all my details, covid came knocking, early retirement and I forgot about my membership of this site! Glad to be back to enjoy our gardens.

Next year I must remember to stake these as stems are not that strong

I think they could have done with being planted a bit deeper then they wouldn’t droop so much 😌

@hayleyaj they are a little variety as bulbs were just a little larger than a snowdrop. They are down 4 inches but will try 6 next year.

Worth a go David. If this is their first year, the bulbs should be better next year anyway. 😁

Hi David 👋🏼 we are currently reviewing the new encyclopaedia entry you have submitted for this Tulip Amika, however we cannot locate this exact name on the international cultivar register for Tulips, nor validate online anywhere. Can we check the correct spelling with you, do you still have the label or packet perhaps? Many thanks 👍🏼

@gardentagsplantsteam I have checked the plant label that is the name recorded. I purchased it from a specialist company called. Www.Eskerfarmdaffodils.com on checking I see they have not their 2020 tulips listed yet

Thanks David - having done a little more investigating, we are wondering if they have made a spelling error on their labels - there is a similar species tulip, but with the name Tulipa clusiana ’Annika’ which looks very similar to yours perhaps? The name Amika does not appear on any site, nor the RHS register or the Dutch tulip register I'm afraid.

@gardentagsplantsteam it is annika. A spelling mistake as the 2 n were joined and looked like an m.
