After 2 months, propagation success!! 🌱 👶🏻
There were roots growing out the petiole so I laid them down on moist soil. After the roots got more established I snipped the mother leaves to make room for the babies.
They were laid on top of each other only because the container I had at work was so small.

Birthday present for myself. I love this guy!!
@debbadoh. I liked all your plants and this one is really cute. I love it. I envy you for being in zone 10 (is it California?). One of my rare blue color plumeria plant was knocked off the table outside during a storm and it broke in two pieces. I took the broken piece scraped the skin, dipped it in water then rooting hormone and planted it. Well soon i had Two rare blue color Frangipani. I grew several frangipani from seeds last winter and still have several plants left. It will grow very nicel
@debbadoh. Frangipani will grow nicely in zone 10. Let me know if you would like to have. I am in atlanta, georgia zone 8. Pl keep in touch. My email: dinyardalal@gmail.com.
That’s so awesome! Yeah I’m in Los Angeles. I’ll check out frangiapani.
A bit more about my watermelon peperomia propagation: Two months ago, I sliced segments of the leaves, dipped cut side into rooting hormone, and wedged in some soil, only misting it once or twice a week as needed. I noticed more roots developing from the petiole (top container), and fewer, if any, from the cuts dipped in rooting hormone (below). Now tiny roots are finally developing in the bottom container, but as you can see I got faster results rooting from the petiole.
