I don't have any crocus open yet.

First time it's opened (that I've seen)

They're like little cups of sunshine. They make me happy every time they appear in the garden. I don't even mind that they're yellow 😂 I'm still waiting for mine to appear but I planted them very late in the year.

Yes I seem to have ended up with more than I ordered, I think I've found pickwick in the front 🤞 and there are crocus in the white bed still to flower. It's just the firefly I'm missing but I have 2 I didn't order instead @ublaszko

Pickwick is gorgeous so I wouldn't mind if that was swapped for another variety but still annoying to not be able to plan ahead the spring display.

Any help @richard.spicer.7906 @ublaszko with the crocus identification? None are open so that's not helping. Sorry they are upside down too. 🙃

@DeborahBanks I think these are Chinese lantern? Check out the plant I'd section, and watch for that name?

Pretty sure it's 'Dorothy'. 'Fuscotinctus' has much clearer stripes.

Oh good, thank you. I'm happy with that and happier as there are other coloured crocus appearing in the bed too. With the aconites I was worried I'd end up with a sea of yellow @ublaszko

Hmm, but with a sea of aconites you'd also have a sea of that honey fragrance

Based on this mornings comparison (I don’t know why I hadn’t done it sooner!) I’m having a rethink. I think you will be best placed to tell as you can see these with the naked eye, but do you feel the stripes and feathering have a hint of plum in them, and does the base of flower/top of tube have a slight hint of plum in it too?
