I'm having a break from the mother of all weeding session. My magazine lied and round up does nothing to creeping buttercup, so hand weeding it is. It's gone rampant! I'm up to 3 big buckets of it out and nearly there now. Hopefully a big mulch will stop it. 🤞

Good luck! I've been using lawn feed and weed killer and I think it's slowing down the weeds but not as fast as I would like it too. I noticed there aren't as many dandelions in my garden as in the neighbours' gardens and they look like dwarf dandelions but it's taking ages and there are still a lot of them. I don't be see as much creeping buttercup but a lot of it came out when I was dethatching the lawn.

Grass is my main nemesis @ublaszko so I definitely don't want to feed that 😁 I read something about it being a sign your soils too heavy. So I'm hoping weeding and mulching is going to help. And I've learned to definitely keep on top of it more.

It doesn't help the amount of bare soil I've got Jane it's had room to spread like wildfire @pelly

I've watched on YouTube that dandelions are a sign of compacted soil and calcium deficiencies. Perhaps my aerating with a garden fork is making a difference. I've done it twice in the last 6 months and was going to do it again last week but the soil is hard as rock. We need rain up here.

I planted my daffs in the wrong place. They're in the front garden and it's too windy to take a photo of them. They all come out blurry. Been trying now for 2 weeks 😂😂

You’ll have to sellotape them to a bamboo cane @ublaszko 😆
