Nymphaea atropurpurea

As an experiment I haven't fertilised it this year, I'm curious if it makes any difference or if the fish do it for me.

The fish will Deborah , never fertilised mine in 25 yrs of pond keeping 👍🏻

Ah good @juliesgarden thank you, I've bought sticks for 2 years but then thought it probably doesn't need any.

Best fertiliser there is for pond and the garden , before we moved i used all my filter water on the garden too 👍🏻…miss the pond , maybe have a much smaller one here eventually 🐟

This is good news, money and a job saved. It dawned on me if I was using pond water in the garden it must be doing the same job in the pond 😁 @porto @juliesgarden

Should have took this yesterday when it was sunny 🌞 and it was fully open.. whilst looking into the pond yesterday I noticed a tiny baby fish, and then another and then another, and then another, and then another. I think my fish need a family planning discussion 🤔
