Wintercreeper is an extremely invasive plant in much of the Eastern US.

Another way to look at it is at least it’s green. Thank goodness for evergreens. 🌞

I actually like the look of trees with Wintercreeper covering their trunks. I’m working down in Kentucky and around here all the trees in the countryside are covered which means that the surrounding ground is covered as well which means less room for our natives.

I have a bit of Wintercreeper growing up my Pin Oak which I nicked from Central Park years ago. It doesn’t seem to be invasive in my area of New York State which is on Lake Ontario and and a bit colder.
