That's a lovely colour 😍
Very beautiful! 🙂👍
Thank you I'm so pleased. I must remember to feed the bulbs. I didn't feed last year's so this year they've been a flop in size and colour. @jaynehynesburton @david71
💗💕💗😘👍🏼
💕💕💕
@Denise16 what do you use to feed them please?
I'm going to use a liquid tomato feed. I heard it on a garden radio show🤞Feed every 3 weeks or so, once the flower has died @littleshed1
Thank you ;) good idea!

Happy to see the return of last year's bulbs😃 Smaller blooms but still smelling gorgeous🌸🌸🌸
Forced bulbs never come back as good as the first time but you could try feeding them after flowering or planting them outside in a sunny spot. Supposedly, they regain some of their vigour after spending summer outdoors. 😊
They've been outside in their pot all this time, I sort of forgot about them! Brought them indoors when I saw the shoots. Will give them a feed thanks🤗 @ublaszko

I left 3 bulbs outside in their original pot since Spring and now they're each showing shoots 😀
I did exactly the same thing👍🏻🌱, now waiting with anticipation😁 @Denise16
I couldn't be bothered to take them out 🙈 has turned out ok I think! 🤞 For yours @cee
How did yours turn out? A couple of mine were so small, opened up then died off. The others seem to have given up and stayed asleep🙈 @cee
Mine all opened but were like miniature hyacinths. They still have green foliage and one began to sprout new shoots from the bulb! @Denise16

These are sunbathing with me so that I can smell them 😁👃
I have these too out of interest what will you do with them when they’ve died down? Never know whether to just take the bulbs out and dry them off or leave and plant some where else. As I normally forget to replant too.
Last year after the leaves died down I planted the bulbs into the ground, however they haven't made an appearance this year🙁 So this time I'm going to leave these ones in the pot, add some new compost in winter and hope for the best!
Think I’ll do the same as I’ll forget where I’ve planted them. 😄 the scent is beautiful 👍

I’ve only just noticed that each bulb has produced new flowers straight after the old😀 Should I be cutting off the old? (dark pink)
Oh cool! I cut mine off when the flowers started fading, now I just have the leaves still growing, will keep them fed to build up energy for next year until the leaves die back themselves.
I’m so surprised! The new ones were facing outside so I never noticed before now. I’ll cut the faded ones off. What are you feeding them? @Mikekally
Oh also just noticed the faded ones stink close up 😂 @Mikekally
I'm actually just popping a drop of orchid fertiliser in with the water because it was to hand under the sink! There may be a better feed for it - but I'm too lazy to dig out the tomato feed from the back of the shed 😂
Ah yeah, fine line between lovely fragrance, and hospital floor cleaner!
😂😷@mikekally
@Denise16 my chap calls them "that stinky blue cat *pee* plant"! I dont think they're THAT bad, but the fragrance is not for everyone! 😂

Each time I go into the kitchen this has opened a little more. Yet when I stare 👀at it intensely nothing happens 🤔😂💗
A watched pot never boils 🤭😂😂😜
😆😂@nessas I’m gonna stand behind the wall & spy on it 🕵️♀️

Happy Monday GTs😀☀️ so my hyacinths are shooting already, why would this be? They’ll never survive winter surely, did I not plant them deep enough? Can you hear me panicking?😰😂
Ooh 😲
I've got lots of bulbs up, quite tall too
Look quite small leaves. Are they grape hyacinths-Muscari which send up leaves now but flower later?
Oh perhaps they are, I do have those and the big ones dotted about. That’s good to know thank you Teresa😀 @trees.p
Yep, they look like muscari and they usually sprout around this time.
Btw, avoid fertilising them until spring, otherwise they grow all strappy and untidy. Just thought I'd mention it.
Great will do thanks @ublaszko
Yes - they're muscari. Mine have popped up about half a centimetre, but be heartened, they'll feel a touch of cold air and stop exactly where they are.
Great thanks Heather! @hylandsheather
Still standing, unlike the one to the left 🙈 #gardenselfie
What a stunning colour Denise 💗💗
It's lovely isn't it Jane, can't believe how long it's been blooming 😍 @pelly
