Help me identify this plant... the little one. Also have a much larger version approx 8ft tall x 4ft wide. Some kind of fir perhaps? Very tough branches, will need to saw to shape it, just worried it might not like a chop. #plantid
Thanks Mariana so it's defo a conifer of some sort. Those look to be upright & slim whereas mine is a ground cover spreading type. Maybe a spreading star conifer 🤔@totallygarden
Thanks Ian😀That looks similar but a golden colour rather than the bright green I have. Also that one may not grow as tall as the one of mine which is about 2 meters. But searching on that lead me to look at the Juniperus and I think mine may be the gold star. @ianshaw

@Denise16 Chamaecyparis lawsoniana maybe? Google it and see if looks similar

@Denise16 Have a look at Cupressus macrocarpa Golden Halo • Some sites will show you close-ups of various conifer foliage

Have found the short one is Juniperus Old Gold. And the tall one is gold star.
