Help me identify this plant at a neighbouring house, I think they look fab #plantid

Best way would be to put a bag over the pod and pinch it tightly closed before removing from the stem. The seeds are that tiny and will spill from a little movement. I did this last year without a bag and had a pocket full of tiny seeds 😄

Opium poppies Denise. They're beautiful! You sow them in autumn and the seedlings appear in the spring. I tried growing them from seed this year but they didn't develop very well. I think the soil was too wet 😕 Better luck next year 👍

You can collect the seeds without the bag but just keep the seedpod upright as there are tiny holes at the top of the pod.
