Brought the scented pelargonium inside as apparently they do quite well as indoor plants during winter. It's gone quite wild, leggy & huge with lots of new shoots coming out of the soil. This plant was tiny outside! I quite like it so will just see what happens, will trim in Spring 🌿🌿
I would worry about the leggy growth personally as it's using its energy now rather than in the spring when it needs it for performing in summer Denise. If it was mine I would cut it right back and water very sparingly now 🤔🤔
I cut back a couple of normal pelargoniums last winter, but when they started to come back, they soon popped their clogs 🙈 One of the garden radio shows I listen to advises to do it in Spring, it'll be interesting to see how it goes🤞 @pelly
One of mine is leggy, but I would say it’s more to do with temperature and light that is making it leggy. I would have thought by cutting it back it will soon produce new leggy growth because it’s the warmth that is causing it to grow. If it were cooler then that would slow the growth. Do you have a cooler room but still bright?
It started getting leggy when I had it in the kitchen so I moved it to the conservatory which is definitely cool in the winter. Maybe it'll slow down soon when it gets even colder 🤔 @richardspicer.7906
Had to have this, it's the first time I've heard of them. Quite a few scents to chose from but the child inside me chose cola bottle sweets🤗 Exactly the same smell & takes me back!

That’s interesting Denise, I would love to see how this pans out, could you post your progress with this method please? 🤔👍
Absolutely will do, it'll be either tears or smiles! @pelly

Yes, I think it probably will. The mild weather hasn’t slowed much down yet but suspect it will start to get colder now January is almost here.
