Swamp Cabbage is what we call it.. Cook with water and bacon and drippings. (or hambone) I personally would use both. a very little sugar, salt, pepper.we always liked cream with, canned milk or cream.. Sometimes I mix chichen broth with the water. you will find a million different ways to make it..lol..
I would recommend bug spray (wasp) I can't tell you how many times my dad found them in the palm. Also... everyone is cutting them with chainsaws now... I think you can find that on YouTube. .
