Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Fanfare Blaze'

Morning Gters 😊 waiting to see if this is a plant or a weed. Planted some seeds from this plant (I think seeds) fingers crossed 🤞 oh I didn't have any labels just used a felt tip and a stick with the plant colour 😊 🤔

Morning @Di007 I suggest a trip to Costa and squirrel away some of their stirring sticks (they and their coffee are better than Starbucks 😏) 😅😅

Oh indeed Diane, after a few visits to various establishments 😃😂 Costa were slightly longer and thicker, must visit William Hill for a few more pens now 😂😂😂

I would sow some now and keep them overwintered somewhere sheltered before planting our in spring

@joanboston I have planted some seeds (I think are seeds) will be exciting to see if they grow @Keely @gjones 🤗 will be checking on them and giving updates 🌱 also planted some poached egg seeds and phlox.. a little bit excited 😊

The seed is the little bit at the end of the fluffy bit so if that end is touching or just under the compost you'll be fine. Keep them moist but not wet somewhere cool. Good luck!😀😀

Ooh thanks @joanboston that's the bit I have used.. Think the compost was a bit wet not loads but will have a look tonight when home from work may need to be a bit dryer than what it is.. It's worth a try.. Plenty more dead heads may try a find few more n put in dryer compost 😊

To be honest I've no idea Di my first year of doing seeds so not a clue on harvesting as only ever harvested foxgloves and poppy's 🤔
