“var. chinensis” is really either a vera hybrid or different species like Aloe massawana or Aloe officinalis. These bloom orange and the flowers are more spaced out on the stem, true Aloe vera blooms yellow and the flowers are densely packed on the stem. #aloe #aloeverachinensis #succulents #aloe-vera

Looks great! @djinnrickey

3/6/2010...”chinensis” blooms orange, true Aloe vera blooms yellow. #aloevera #aloeverachinensis #aloe #succulents

#AloeFlowers would be more accurate since this isn’t really Aloe vera

Same “chinensis” plant from last post (the floppy indirect light plant) after being (slowly) moved into direct sun and repotted in a well draining soil. The two photos are less than two years apart, definitely growing much stronger now. #aloeverachinensis #aloevera #aloe #aloeplant #succulents

Floppy, weak growth caused by not enough sun (indirect is not enough for Aloes) and poor draining soil. #aloeplant #aloe #aloevera #aloeverachinensis #succulents
