Help me identify this plant . I inherited this from the previous owners. ( My parents. Lol) but they don't know what it is either. My mom even suggested I gave this to her one year for mother's day . I do not remember. It was nothing this winter....and grew from the ground to this size...about a foot across.

It looks similar to my autumn joy. Yours has some darker coloring but you are in a warmer climate. Check mine out to see. @dmm1976

@kimguy thanks that was very helpful! I googled autumn joy and found this Sedum...which matches! I didn't even know what stonecrop was! So now I suppose I found a use for that pile of river rock behind the barn?
