The names are not easy to find @sarasota there are YouTube videos on Begonias that helped me find them.

It’s very common for #newgrowth to hide under the older leaves of begonias

I love the colour. Can I ask a stupid question. Don't plants.need some green leaves to be able to feed ?

@charlotte some plants have no green at all and grow just fine. I don’t understand the science of it but there just as happy as the green ones. Like red algae for instance.

That's interesting. I know So little but so interested to learn

@charlotte I do research on every plant I bring home so I can properly care for them and I’m not the smartest for sure. Plants are living and so is a pet, I try to think of them as my babies.

Looks like two different plants but the winter leaves are silver and the sunshine leaves are that amazing plum purple #foliagefriday

I really love this #begonia it’s small but when it exposes new heavy growth, it’s going to be incredible. Next month and a half should be that time. Winter leaves on begonias are not there true colors anyway #foliagefriday

Yes @richard.spicer.7906 most of my 15 begonias have bloomed my friend. There flowers are rather insignificant compared to there foliage though.

Yes, they are very small. Although one of my rhizatomous begonias flowered last year and there were quite a few. Doubt I will have any this year as I’ve pruned the stems to try and get them to bush out a little more.

Kind of looks like a Begonia Griffon so I put it in a matching pot and plant stand

Mine was down to 1 leaf I put it under grow light and its coming back with a vengeance! So excited because in the summer it was ridiculous

@heatherdirtyhands I’ve tossed a few begonias thinking they were dead but @cyndi set me straight and I started saving them and I’ve been successful because they do come back every after loosing all but a couple leaves. Lights do work great but the green house environment works the best

I dont have a green house sadly @docthrill also I hope @cyndi is ok haven't heard from her or seen her on here in awhile. Guess taking a break....

I like that the #begonias are still growing in the colder weather. As the leaves grow older they fill out with that shiny plum color
