I chopped the top off and many new branches have are popping out. The top is rooted in it’s own pot.

I chopped the top off my Nodulosa , rooted it in water and she’s short and beautiful. The rest of the plant has started to sprout many new limbs because of pruning the top off.

Nicely #variegated

Good manuever. Paid off nicely!

Beautiful! Do you always root succulents in water?

No @pooh4jvn but most of the time I do. It’s much faster for the plant, the succulent gets acclimated much faster. It has been a while since I just stuck one in the ground without water rooting first. Mater of fact the only one I haven’t put in water in a while is the Mardi Gras @dadayba sent me. I did start to put the Mardi Gras in water but chose to put it in the ground the next day

Maybe I will start doing that, it is so dry here it might be a faster start. Can you do it any time of the year when you do it in water?

Best to do it during, whatever plant your cutting, during its growth season. Not wise to try during there dormant seasons. Under grow lights you might be able too, I’ve done it

Not my favorite because it only looks great looking down on it, I’ve always loved the leaf patterns though #succulentsunday

#interestingfoliage

I have that one too and agree. 👍

I had to get rid of my nodulosa today. It had been looking awful and new growth was deformed. Cut new growth off and was horrified to see yellow aphid. Luckily it was in a 12 inch pot by itself away from the other plants as these acids carry viruses that spread to other plants. Since the plant looked so pathetic I decided it was not worth taking the risk. I had no colour on the leaves. So sad. Hope it does not spread🤞🤞🤦♀️

Yeah @hkyfvr Diane, just toss that one, there common and easy to replace

Thanks so much. Was not that happy with it anyway. Never looked good after I brought it home. Was expecting more I guess 🤷♀️🤦♀️😍

I don’t take to many pictures of this guy, it’s tall and gangly and only looks great looking down on it.

Colors are striking though
