@ShelleySnyder , I don’t know why they call it a bamboo, it’s not one. Yours is much fuller than mine. They are #beautiful 😍 #bestoffebruary
Oh my the gulfstream is a real beautiful one! Just trim off the ugly and don't give up on it! No it isn't bamboo at all but they call it heavenly bamboo because it looks like bamboo but it's very mannerly and doesn't spread like real bamboo, and for my buck the colors are so very much better!💘😍
Oh I’m not giving up on it. It’s a rescue my brother brought me last year. It was almost dead then. It needed more potting soil to alleviate being so root bound. @ShelleySnyder Need to repot and do it again over this next week sometime

Help me identify this plant you know I’ve had this a long time and I really don’t know what it is PlantID there are some green leaves in there but it’s mostly red #foliagefriday
Looks like a nandina heavenly bamboo shrub @docthrill
I agree with @treefrog44 ! I've never seen one so deep red, but I don't have much irl experience with them either. The leaf formation and growth habit looks like a dead ringer, though.
That checks out @treefrog44 and @beatnikcrab
It always gets very red in the winter, I love it 🥰
