Started this #zygocactus from a cutting, now it’s big. The only problem is, it’s never flowered. Could it be something else.
Maybe her feet need the be a bit more cramped before she shows off. Slower her water.
Thank you @lovestogarden Janice I’ll try that

This is my third year and I’ve never seen it flower. I hope this is the year it does. If it doesn’t, it’s probably something else entirely #succulentsunday #zygocactus
That's a easter cactus look at the leaves.
No @kelsey92 it’s not Easter cactus, the leaves are less than half the size and it’s never flowered. I have 2 Easter cactus and it looks nothing like it. The mother plant I got the cutting from has never flowered and it was labeled Christmas cactus. To be truthful I really don’t know what it is

This is a #christmas-cactus and behind it are 2 types of #thanksgiving-cactus one white one red on the back left. Thanksgiving cactus have much larger nodes with points. #christmas-cactus have very small nodes with absolutely no points. @KariSamuel @yogi2 I know that what you have is definitely a thanksgiving cactus. It had to be mislabeled or you bought it during Christmas or something. If you want to believe it is a Christmas cactus then that’s what it can be for you. It’s my #favorite
@yogi2 I have an #aeonium-cyclops and many have told me it’s a #zwartkop I’ve seen both and they look very much alike.
There is a nursery i go to all the time in champaign illinois it is called the Prairie gardens. They call theirs cactus is a Christmas cactus when they sell them to the people. @docthrill
We have to think the opposite. Thanksgiving cactus is in autumn... March April May Christmas cactus in winter. June July August . @cyndi did we lose Jason Parkes?
Had to change that. I get confused
Lol @Sussanah been there done that

A cutting given to me by my daughter Sarah @saguaro las December. It was only 6 nodes or leaves whom I got it.
I got mine last winter as well! I am reading about making it flower. Any tips would be great, all of your plants and pictures are magnificent!

Unfortunately @firefly0911 you just need to wait for there blooming seasons as far as I know. This one has never bloomed for me yet. It was a cutting I cloned and it may not bloom for a couple years.
You're supposed to give them a certain amount of dark hours sometime in the fall to get them to bloom seasonally. I don't do it so I'm not sure the correct procedure. I just let mine do as they will.
Yeah I let mine do the same @lesliecole49 @firefly0911 I have heard if you put them in a dark room like bathroom without windows for a month . I guess it tricks them to bloom. Never tried it myself
@docthrill I dont think that is so!!! From what I have read, they need to be fertilized around this time, and then slow watering wayyyy down. Then they need 12 hours of darkness and a few other things, then they will start to bloom around Thanksgiving. Mine was small when I bought it. Now it's twice the size. I do not think it matters if it was a cutting. If I find the article I will send it to you!
@docthrill they like the humid dark for 12 to 16 hours a day while dormant, and almost no water...

Thanks @firefly0911
Here is what’s left of my Christmas cactus @kelsey92 in hope they root again, although I hold very little hope of success.
No hope
Janice has a Christmas cactus. See if she can send u some cuttings from her Christmas cactus
@kelsey92 I’ll wait to see if these cuttings root
Keep me posted
