Sedum Rock And Round Superstar

Help me identify this plant, it’s got some scale for size with my hand in there. Broke off 4 leaves just touching it, it’s so fragile @hannahchristine @richard.spicer.7906 @beatnikcrab @lesliecole49 @savannahssucculentgarden @KariSamuel @emch a big part of me just wants to slap #fairy-crassula on it and be done with it. It’s the closest of all suggested from you awesome 😎 peoples

It’s tough when we can’t help, but I think we’ve all had a good go at trying to get closer to what it might be. Sadly I’m all out of suggestions ☹️ I even spent last night comparing every sedum/hylotelephium species to yours. There certainly are closer matches as already suggested, but I think the only way to see what it’s true form looks like is to try growing some in the ground. The hanging nature of this is confusing - I think it’s naturally ground cover....

... and you might find the leaf form and shape changes a little which may help with ID - if bits break off freely, plant a little in the ground and see. I’m certainly no expert, but my hesitation at suggesting Crassula multicava (fairy Crassula) is that most source reading suggests it only has four petals, whereas yours clearly has five 👍🏼. I really hope soon you get an answer on this mystery! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Is there a cactus/succulent nursery in the area? Maybe they could help...?

@hannahchristine John Creech flowers are spot on but the leaves on it are not the same they’re edges are not smooth round like mine. It has to be related I think
