Tiny #blooms of the #coleus #coleus-wizardrose #augustblooms worthy of this post. All of my coleus are blooming like this
Is the theory of them dying after they bloom true? Last year I kept trimming the flowers so they wouldn’t die. They just kept getting fuller and taller. I’ve been doing the same this year as I don’t want to lose any.
@rudester1 it’s not true, I’ve only heard that one other time. I had a greenhouse so I’d just prune them back, repot them and they would come back twice the size. Outside in Fresno California weather they would most certainly die off. I also do late fall cuttings through the winter for next year. This year I just bought all new ones there inexpensive. I sold all of them when I took my greenhouse down for construction . I also top mine to promote more branches
Great thanks so much for the info! @docthrill
