Apparently we can't sow cucumbers here until late April. I'm going to start mine in mid-April.

It's too early to start it here indoor. I read it you're supposed to start them indoors in late April. It seems a bit late to me so I'm going to go for mid-April or maybe even the second week of April.

So u have yours attached to a lattice? How did u attach it? Can u maybe tag me in a pic of the whole pot? I'm trying to grow some for the first time and wanna have the best result

@heatherdirtyhands I don't have it with the lattice yet, but that was what I was thinking. I just have it in a pot that's now too small for it next to a wood pole. I'll get a more distant shot so you can see the mess, lol.

So is it attached to that stick to hold it up? I noticed mine yesterday has a couple tiny cucumbers on it and I'm so happy I just hope they don't get eaten like my strawberries

@heatherdirtyhands It is attached with tendrils and that's it. I started it in my bathroom with the stick just standing next to it. I helped it grab on a little but it did most on its own. I did hand pollinate the flowers with a small paint brush. Just tickle the inside of the male flower then pollinate the female flower. I try to do it as often as possible and with as many flowers as possible to be sure to get a cucumber 🥒 😁

@heatherdirtyhands They should be less likely to be taken since they should have little spikes or at least mine does

@cyndi lol 😆 That happens to me way too many times. The last time I was drinking I planted "mystery seeds" lol 😆 I have no idea what will come up 😜

My #cucumber has its first #flower 😍 So, do I need to put it outside for pollination? Or hand pollinate? Maybe just slowly put it out during the day to get hardened off 💕
