Black galangal starting to sprout!
That's a new one on me. You'll have to post it again when it grown more.
Do you cook with these?
@lamaisonbleueoleron when the rhizome enlarges then you can harvest it. This one is quite rare. I grow "normal" galangal, which I use to cook with and also tumeric makes a great plant as well!!

@lamaisonbleueoleron Steve just put pick of one of mine few weeks ago just starting to grow. Takes a few weeks to get going and needs lots of warmth! 😃
