Echeveria Lilacina

The difference in two different grow lights. I’m a little annoyed at the one that I️ have over the lilacina to the right. It had great reviews. It is still providing more light than the winter sun but it does nothing for color or compactedness. Making me think it’s not working at all!! #growlightresults #lilacina

@muhammadabbas it’s perlite. I mix cactus soil with perlite 50/50 for optimal drainage for succulents.

@ecoami can I mix the perlite with soil for any plant except succulents?

These look great! It's good to experiment with different lights etc thats how we learnt what works 😆Just be careful with perlite as it does hold a lot of water but if you aren't getting any rot problems you probably have the right mix for the conditions 😆

Thanks @Muzz67! I’ve found the opposite with perlite, it helps keep it very well-draining. I use cactus soil mixed 50/50 with perlite for all my succulents.
