Hello. Glad you like them. These are slightly shorter than 'normal' delphiniums but I stake early- they do open out so lots of room and pellets. Sorry if you don't to Chema, but it works for me. I get about 7 hours of sun on that spot In mid summer. Well rotted horse manure in early spring being careful not to put it on the growing plant as it can scorch. Spread it round and let the worms do their thing. I dead head and let the foliage die back under its own accord.
I'm a surveyor but have been keen on gardening since I was a boy. My grandfather loved his garden and he'd spend time with me tinkering away when I used to stay over. I only know a little really but I do read a lot of books when choosing plants to match the soil, aspect, plant characteristics etc up with the space. I try to keep a tidy garden as well as I think that makes the garden look neat and can help flatter what's there.
