It flowered this year! Only 2 flowers but the first time ever! It flowered at Easter so now I'm wondering if it's an Easter cactus? Any input? #eastercactus #id-notsure #id #cacti-id #easter

So this is a #christmascactus as you thought. It is known by the leaf shape and the flower shape, not by when they bloom, because, as you can tell, they bloom when they want to.

A fantastic way to tell is shown at: https://goo.gl/images/Y3Qfhb

Thank you!

Help me identify this plant. I've had it for a long time (a gift) and was told that it's a Christmas cactus but it hasn't ever flowered on my desk at work.

It's a Christmas Cactus for sure. Google plant conditions for blooming.

Thank you!

You can propagate many more from this one plant. Check it out.

Oh!? I'll definitely want to look that up, thanks!

Yes that's a true Christmas cactus

You have to change how much you water it and the amount of light for it to flower. I just leave mine outside in winter unless it freezes and don't water much. It bloomed without much effort this year and had huge beautiful blooms. I live in coastal SC in zone 8 though and it may not work where you live to do so.

Thank you all for your replies! I've had a great first day using this app!
