Here is a better new pic. It is indoors. no it wasnt a bonsai (not sure cz i got it new 4days ago as a gift from my friend). the leaves are small and thin @lovestogarden @cyndi

I am unsure. My only guess is the china tree. Sorry, Elie. If we all can not help, you could take a full leaf and the photos to your local Nursery and ask. 🕵❤

Thank you, @cyndi !

As far as i knew this plant is for decoration only. It does not flower and it does not give fruits only for decoration @lovestogarden @cyndi so i dont think its a sandalwood tree as you said

Nice find! Again, if you tap on the name of the plant - your information is there! Scroll all the way down on the encyclopedia page, and propagation by #cuttings is described in detail! Let me know if you have more questions! 🤗
I've never taken magnolia cuttings but I would only leave the upper leaves of each cutting and make a vertical slice at the bottom end of the stem, dip in hormone solution & pot up in perlite 👍🏻
What is better to put it first in water to root ? Or directly put it in a pot and cover it with plastic bag ????? @cyndi @ellenmarygardening @KariSamuel
@cyndi can you give me your advice in that ?
For how many days do i have to keep it in water to root ? @cyndi
*Most plants are not propagated by putting in water.*
Whatever method of propagation you use you must reduce the number of leaves that remain on the cutting. This one has far too many leaves left on.
I remove the leaves and kept only 3 leaves on top @brightcolours 2 days in water still no roots until now @cyndi
So i have to put it in soil ???? @cyndi
