Salvia nemorosa 'Caradonna'

Bees everywhere on the Salvias today. This is a beautiful colour and part of a planting scheme I'm working in. These & the Geums were literally buzzing! 🐝🐝🐝 #purple #blue #salvia #bees

@ellenmarygardening Caradonna is a winner. Don't get me wrong, most nemorosa group are fab. But those dark stems on Caradonna add an extra element. That's why it is used at Chelsea & other show gardens so often. 👍🏻

I love salvias. Mine are just coming into flower. Unfortunately I love Amistad a favourite

@nifferdog unfortunately Amistad, Black & Blue, Black & Bloom, Mystic Spires are not hardy although they do give you a lot of 'bang for your buck' until frosts arrive.
