Acer shirasawanum 'Autumn Moon'

Found on truck of my #acer. Anyone kbow what it is? Should i be worried?

Is it horse chestnut scale?

Scale insect I think texture is like melted marshmallow. I found some on mine today so just googled it and I think you have to take it off manually and damp conditions don't help it either ! 😳

@susiwoo yup exactly like marshmallow. Is growing in damp fairly shaded spot. Will need to get in at it tmw!! Thanks :)
