Gardening in mostly deep shade in Zone 6. My passion is adding more native plants to my landscape & clearing out the foreign invasives.

I feel so guilty about taking these little bulbs out of my nice warm place and planting them outside just as the temperatures are dropping below freezing. I know they're adapted to the Midwest but brrrr

I'm sure they are happy again and sending out fresh roots as they are experiencing 60 degree temps again, or as we call it here Pure Michigan LOL

Say @tinaaune when should I expect the shoots to emerge in this plant? I check the place where I planted it daily a day so far, no soap...

Hmmmm, I haven't seen any of mine popping yet but we've had pretty crappy temps and I only have some hyacinth and tulips active so far, I'd say if your temps are decent any day now.... they really are foolproof 🤔😀

Well our temps are all over the place as usual! Possible frost tonight for instance but it's supposed to be in the 80s by midweek.
