Haha, I tried to ID this guy when you first posted the photo and couldn't find an obvious answer, so I didn't say anything. Yes, I think that's possible. It looks like the other heads may have only 5 segments, so it could be an anomaly. I found a few examples of 6-segmented ones online, so I guess it's a thing. https://kylesplants.com/products/gymnocalycium-horstii-6-rib-form Same way that Bishop's Cap cacti have a 4- and even 3-sided form. 🤷🏻♀️
So I guess I already have 2 of these and may not need to rush out and buy another LOL
