Worried sick about this little guy who has taken several steps backward in the last few weeks. The roots rotted out in the daily downpour and several of the leaves disappeared. Repotted and hoping for the best. Any advice, peeps? I'm lookin' at you, @sunlovin @txgardener @beatnikcrab

When this happens to me i usually pull the little guy out of the soil, dab him with some cinnamon and let him dry out to callous over. A week or two. Then root him buy water method or soil method. New Roots+New Growth=New Plant. 👍

Good to know @txgardener 🧐 why cinnamon, tho? What's the science behind that?

You’ve already repotted which is good. iIf the roots were cleaned up, keep it on the dry side with sun daily if possible, and give it a weak fertilizer next time you water to give it a nutrient boost. 🌞

The cinnamon will encourage the stem to produce more stems/roots, while helping to prevent the fungus that causes damping-off disease @feliciaraquel

I let him dry out @txgardener but cinnamon never crossed my mind. TY @sunlovin -- I'm on it

Good luck 🤞

Thanks @txgardener ! The more you know🌈🌈🌈
