Happy birthday Eileen!!! Enjoy your day! 🎂🥳🎁🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
TY, @lovestogarden !
@aldebaran if you do buy one of these, be double-dog sure to keep it confined to a planter so it can't take over the tri-state area 💀

This gas taken over one of my flower beds and it smells so bad I can't stand to pull it! I would not plant it. I do not not know how to control it.
I've heard the only way to control it is to keep it in a container or VERY raised bed, @Susanandsteve
As far as removing it, the only way is to dig AROUND it very carefully, gently lift out the whole plant with the roots intact, and shake all the soil out. Any scrap of root left in the ground will sprout up into a new plant, @Susanandsteve
Oh man this is the worst. I have it all over.
Or, of course @sushiwaitress @Susanandsteve you can clip it off close to the ground and immediately paint the cut face of the stem with a "kills to the root" herbicide.

Almost all the #fallcolor we have seen so far this fall -- to be fair, we are 2 days into autumn as I write this -- are the distinctive mottling patterns on the fishmint leaves at the post office.
Too scary for me🌞
It's a pity that such a handsome plant with such #interestingfoliage is a close analogy to The Thing That Ate The Bronx @sunlovin LOL
Lol 😂🌞

Very pretty foliage👍
You do know how invasive this is?🌞
I've heard that @sunlovin but because this is #notmyplant it's also #notmyproblem LOL. I took this picture at the post office, where this little guy is confined by pavement and is competing against a hosta, a yew bush and some maneating dandelions. They have achieved a state of detente and all bloom cheerfully in their little pocket of soil. My veterinarian has some too, in a raised bed where it has never escaped into the lawn.
@sunlovin I have learned not to believe everything I read also! At the other gardening app where we first met, I read this plant has a horrible smell. I have tested the hypothesis and found that there is no smell at all.
I know not to believe everything I read but i would believe it. I have seen it myself in gardens where it has taken over and ruined the garden despite the owner trying everything to stop it. The smell came when the owner mowed it. I only commented because I didn’t see notmyplant in your hashtags. 🤔
If it were mine @sunlovin it would already be on my restricted list or tagged killitwithfire
I figured that 😆🌞
