After a scary period when this guy looked sick and shriveled, it is finally starting to fill out #succulent

Every single day since I got this cutting I have found it missing from its pot and had to hunt for it on the floor because the kittehs had pulled it out of its pot to use as a hockey puck. I finally cracked the code by putting the strainer over the pot. Poor thing was finally, this morning, right where I left it last night. And morning before last, returning the cutting to its pot, I saw a root starting on the poor thing despite everything it had been through. #gardenhacks #succulent

I guess it looks like a toy to them.

About the size of my thumb joint @lesliecole49 -- kittens already plucked it out of the soil to use as a hockey puck so this needs to go outside ASAP

This Huernia somalica is #notmyplant -- at least not yet -- but I am wild about this #pentagonal #brown flower and this #succulent is VERY high on my wish list. Submitted for your approval on #succulentsunday
