Gardening in mostly deep shade in Zone 6. My passion is adding more native plants to my landscape & clearing out the foreign invasives.

I cut some of these down over the weekend...The bed they repose upon is 100% bedstraw. #killitwithfire

I've been "harvesting" the scratchy nightmare vine for composting, @columbiariver

Another one of these, waaaay up on my 85° slope. I wonder if I could pull it out if I just hung from it... #killitwithfire

I am overwhelmed with honeysuckle! It's climbing over my fences like The Blob! I cut so much back every year but I'm afraid I'm going to have to resort to something like round up which will probly take gallons(!) so I'll probly just cut it back. Again and again ad infinitum... sure smells good tho

If you cut off the vine right at the ground and immediately paint the cut surface with Round Up, you should only need a few drops. Unless there are 12,000 vines of course

Whack it off close to the ground and immediately paint the cut face with kills to the root herbicide #killitwithfire

The remains of a lot of the plants I've done away with, to make room for natives...RIP #killitwithfire

Help me identify this plant. It's a shrub about 4 to 6 feet high (1.5 to 2 m) and sporting these berries at the moment. #plantid

It’s lonicera makackii, Amur Honeysuckle. EXTREMELY invasive. #killitwithfire right now!! It has taken over all of our stream and river banks and I am constantly pulling it out of my yard. Horrible stuff.
